Hi guys today we are going to hide our secret message text inside audio file using termux app. Termux tool HiddenWave tool is used to hide text inside audio file. This process is called Steganography.  

We already know hide text in audio is done in many movies and web series, which looks very cool and it is. we see this technique in Batman movies also in Mr Robot movie series. But they use heavy software and they have lot of knowledge. Don't worry I am here for you, we are going to do this today using our smartphone.      

What is Steganography ?

Steganography is the method of embedding some secret codes in another files format, in such a way that no one never able to know or decode it accept the sender and recipient who knows about this secret code.

Use of Steganography in History ?

It is a practice of hiding a secret message behind a normal message. It is not a modern practice it is a ancient practice done in various forms from thousand years to keep there secret codes private.

• In BC 440 people wrote their secret message in wood and cover it with wax. 
• Romans used Invisible links, to see this code other party a receiver used heat or a light to make it visible.
• In world war II Germans used microdots, documents, picture and plans were compressed and attach to it normal message. Size is so small that no one think about something is attach with a normal message.

We know Yottabyte is largest unit of storage, but we consider Terabyte to largest given memory storage unit. So, in future can we able to compress 1 Tb to some kb what you think about it ?? (comment below) 

Steganography Techniques

It depends on which format steganography is done. Steganography depends on mainly 5 ways :

1. Audio Steganography 
2. Text Steganography 
3. Image Steganography 
4. Video Steganography 
5. Network Steganography 

Today we are going to do Audio Steganography  in which secret message is embedded into audio file using Termux. Hide secret message in audio file is much more difficult process when compared to another Steganography process. Different methods of audio steganography include :

1. Least Significant Bit Encoding
2. Parity Encoding
3. Phase Coding
4. Spread Spectrum
5. Audio files in which we are going to hide data in WAV , AU and MP3 files.

How to Hide Text message inside Audio files using Termux ?

$ git clone https://github.com/techchipnet/HiddenWave.git

hiddenwave github

$ cd HiddenWave

$ ls

hide secret code in audio file using termux

Now you see 2 files name :-

HiddenWave.py is used to hide secret information.

ExWave.py is used for extract secret information from audio file.

$ python3 HiddenWave.py

Now, HiddenWave open

Let Hide our secret code/information in our Audio file

$ python3 HiddenWave.py -f Demo.wav "your secret message" -o output.wav

eg:- python3 HiddenWave.py -f Demo.wav(any video file) "knowledgeinfinteloop.blogspot.com"(your mssge) -o devil.wav(your last embedded file name)

Here now you see devil.wav is a new file which have our secret message

Now learn Extracting secret information from Audio file 

$ python3 ExWave.py -f output.wav

eg:- python3 ExWave.py -f devil.wav( file having secret code and we going to get it )
